Additionally, Reynolds outlines the significant contributions that Michigan sociologists have made to both symbolic Interactionism as well as radical perspectives on social change. Reynolds places himself in the company of colleagues and students whilst telling the story of his journey. The Michigan Sociological Association figures prominently in his appraisal.
