The Michigan Sociological Review (MSR) is the official, peer-reviewed publication of the Michigan Sociological Association. As an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal, it welcomes articles exploring a broad range of theoretical, methodological, and empirical questions. The journal also publishes research and pedagogical comments, reviews of books, films, videos, educational software, and keynote speeches at the annual meeting of the MSA.

Call for Papers
The Michigan Sociological Review (MSR), the official peer-reviewed journal of the Michigan Sociological Association, is now accepting submissions for its Fall 2025 issue. We invite faculty and graduate students from sociology programs across Michigan to contribute their research and insights.

Submission Guidelines:

Deadline: May 31, 2025

Format: Manuscripts should be submitted in .doc or .rtf format (not .pdf) and follow the ASA format.

Files Required:

One file with the manuscript, ensuring all author identification is removed.

A second file with the author’s contact information, a brief biography, and acknowledgments.

Topics of Interest: We welcome a broad range of articles from a variety of theoretical and methodological approaches which explore topics of interest to Michigan sociologists. We also welcome essays on teaching methods, as well as reviews of books, films, and educational software.
